Life Choice and PET Packaging: Helping to Protect the Planet for the Next Generation

The overuse of plastics in today's society has become major environmental issue for our planet. Plastic pollution is the dumping, littering, or disposing of any type of man-made plastic that has been produced and has ended up in our oceans or landfills that has not been recycled.

It is estimated that every year about 100 million tons of plastic are produced all over the world. Out of this, 25 million tons of non-degradable plastic gets accumulated in the environment with 70,000 tons of plastic being dumped in the oceans and seas.

According to Inline Magazine "most consumers recognize that some form of packaging is needed for many food and beverages, they also demand that their packaging becomes ever more sustainable. In the great debate about the sustainability of different types of packaging material, PET had some outstanding advantages - from preventing food waste to being fully recyclable, light, robust, flexible and easy to transport."
