Prescription Vending Machines Coming to Arizona State University

Recently, multiple sources have covered the installation of InstyMeds prescription vending machines at Arizona State University. The installation came about when the campus health centre closed last September. The machine works by giving the prescription holder a voucher and an access code good for only 24 hours.

Arizona State is only the second university to install these machines (Florida State was the first), but InstyMeds officials claim that the machines are rigged to sound an alarm and alert the authorities if tampered with. Still, there are concerns of potential drug abuse. Although no specifics have been given, the machine will contain 50 of the most popular prescriptions given to university students. As we have covered earlier, university students who feel pressured to succeed are more susceptible to overdose on drugs like Adderall, Ritalin and Modafinil.

Making drugs so easily accessible gives the wrong message. Drugs can be influential with students seeking added leverage, depending on quick fixes rather than old fashioned learning. It is my prediction that vending type machines will soon be introduced to administer vaccinations, almost like getting your blood pressure read or perhaps inhaled as a mist. Let’s see if this comes to fruition, but I hope it never does.

As Natural News has pointed out, why not use such machines for natural supplements instead, as those are not dangerous? Life Choice offers many products that can help students perform at peak levels without exposing them to dangerous side effects.

GABA: GABA is found throughout the central nervous system (CNS), assuming an ever-enlarging role as a significant influence for pain, stress, anxiety, depression as well as stress-induced illness. Before January 1995, there were over 2000 documents and texts on GABA, describing how it affects anxiety/stress in the brain and CNS.

Neurotransmitter Support: Neurotransmitter Support is a feast for brains in need of restoration, providing the optimum combination to facilitate the transport of vital nutrients into brain cells, and assist in re-establishment of neuronal function. And it’s a healthy snack for an aging brain, as well, giving it all the essentials necessary to support our mood, memory, and cognitive abilities, which tend to slow down as the years pass by.

DMAE: DMAE has the ability to enhance brain functions at the higher level and can compensate for various neuropsychological deficits ranging from cognitive processes to aging itself. DMAE greatly reduces the lipofusion from brain and nerve cells and is able to cross the blood brain barrier. It has proven to be a safe alternative for such learning and behavior problems as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Hyperkinesias. Other conditions for which DMAE is useful are chronic fatigue, mild depression and confusion.
