Radio Broadcast
with Dr. Dahl!
Sept 28-29, Life Choice Founder/Formulator/CEO Dr. Eldon Dahl will be the featured guest on The Natural Health Show with host Steve Herringer. The show will be on the radio, as well as online, and the show will be broadcast in ON Sept 28, and in BC Sept 29. More details about show times and coverage areas are at the bottom left column of the newsletter.

We have shared the Pain Management Protocol before. For this broadcast, Dr. Dahl will be going into more detail about this amazing combo.

In the USA, 100 million people suffer from chronic pain—more than diabetes, heart disease, and cancer combined. The total annual incremental cost of pain-related health care in the U.S. ranges between $560-$635 billion.

In Canada, it is estimated that 6.8 million people (1 out of 5) suffer from chronic pain. The estimated cost of pain-related issues ranges between $56-$60 billion in Canada. In the next 20 years, with an aging population, the number of Canadians suffering from chronic pain is expected to climb to 1 out of 3.

Many turn to opioid medication for pain. Opioids are known for being highly addictive; even for those who do not become addicted, dependency is likely, with withdrawal symptoms once the medication is stopped. In the USA, opioids have already surpassed heroin as the new street drug of choice.

From 1997-2004, a National Medical Expenditure Panel Survey found that opioid prescriptions for patients with spinal disorders rose 108%. Emergency room reports of opioid overdose parallel the prescription numbers. Deaths related to opioid prescriptions numbered 4,451 by 2002—more than cocaine or heroin. Besides the risk of addiction, it has been suggested that due to the changes it brings in the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves, opioid use may actually increase sensitivity to pain.
